New Irish Companies Registered in Q3 2020

Company Formation specialists, Company Bureau report that despite Covid-19 threatening an economic recession, new company registrations are now slightly higher than Quarter 3 of 2019.

This news is very promising given that new company registrations dropped by nearly 40% amid the Covid-19 outbreak in March 2020.

New Company Registrations by Quarter

Company Bureau says the official numbers reported in 2020 are conservative given the growing backlog of new company registration requests. The Companies Registration Office (CRO), the government body responsible for processing these requests has been operating at a reduced capacity since Covid-19 restrictions were first announced six months ago.

With many of the CRO staff working remotely and the amount of company requests back to normal levels the lead time to form a new company is now between 8-10 workings days, well outside of their SLA 5 of working days.
